Seville Cathedral Guided Tour
After meeting at the appointed time at a central point in the city, we'll head to Seville Cathedral, which was built in 1507. Until the construction of St. Peter's in the Vatican, it was the largest cathedral in the world.
As we begin our tour, we'll marvel at the imposing gothic style construction of the cathedral. On our guided tour of the cathedral, we'll see the Patio de Los Naranjos, which was once part of an Almohad mosque. During the tour, we'll reveal curious details about the building. For example, unlike other religious buildings, this cathedral does not have traditionally shaped apse. Instead, it's rectangular and is illuminated by the light that penetrates through the stained-glass windows.
Seville Cathedral has 68 pointed vaults resting on free-standing pillars, whose stone cladding will catch your attention. Throughout the visit, we'll learn about the history behind these structures.
Once the guided tour of the cathedral is over, you will be able to climb the emblematic Giralda to enjoy breathtaking views of Seville, the highlight of the tour!
Finally, we'll return to the starting point, after 1-5 to 2 hours.
