We did the activity with Nieves and it was great, she explained everything very well and made the visit to all the corners of the Alcázar very enjoyable, totally recommended.

Alcazar of Seville Guided Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at a central point in the city to begin your guided visit of the Alcázar de Sevilla, one of the city's most visited monuments. Its exquisite beauty and legendary history have captured the hearts and minds of numerous artists, and it has even been used as a filming location for Game of Thrones.

On our guided tour of the Alcazar of Seville our expert English-speaking guide will explain the origins and developments of the historic building. You'll learn who commissioned its original construction so many centuries ago and which monarchs have lived there in the ensuing years and to this day. Did you know that this magnificent building is the oldest royal palace in Europe that is still in use?

Once inside, we'll begin to tour the many rooms, courtyards, and halls that reflect the mixture of Christian and Islamic cultures. We'll marvel at the magnificent dome of the Hall of Ambassadors and the decoration of the Patio de las Doncellas.

In addition, we'll take in the fresh air of the Alcazar Gardens, filled with lush greenery thanks to the ancient fountains and ponds. The jardines are the ideal place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of Seville city centre and to admire yet more of the the pond of Mercury and the Gallery of the Grotesques.

After around 1.5 hours of a guided tour, you'll have the opportunity to stay within the walls of the Alcázar de Sevilla to wander around and check out the bits you liked most.
