Join us to learn about local customs on this trip to a Korean folk village. A mixture of tradition, legends and culture awaits us.
Korean Folk Village Tour
First thing in the morning, we'll meet in the centre of Seoul and head south to the Korean Folk Village in the city of Yongin. There, we'll spend a very unique morning.
When we arrive, we'll have a first impression of the place, full of Joseon dynasty buildings, with impressive mansions belonging to the noble class of the time. However, we'll also see thatched huts, which were the residence of the commoners. The village is divided into 3 clearly distinguishable areas!
Afterwards, you can take a leisurely walk along the village stream and relax in the nature of the area, where more than 80 types of trees grow. We'll continue to discover the traditions of the village by attending a Nonga show, a small musical performance performed by farmers praying for a good harvest.
As well as that, we'll be able to see different handicraft workshops up close in which the locals will show us how they make products from bamboo, wood, straw or glass or how they make Korean paper.
To complete the experience, you'll have free time to satisfy your appetite on your own and enjoy the delicious flavours of Korea, tasting dishes such as naengmyeon, muk, bibimbap or dumplings.
Finally, we'll make our way back to Seoul, where we'll arrive after 3.5 hours of sightseeing.
