Gabby, the guide, was very helpful and knowledgeable, perhaps a little too talkative. A piece of advice: I would give more time to observe and enjoy what you observe, sometimes you had to stay in very short hours. Overall interesting, I would recommend it

Spend a day in no man's land on this once-in-a-lifetime tour to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). It's sure to make an impression!

DMZ Korea Tour

We'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point in Seoul at the indicated time and we'll head towards the north of the country to discover the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a 124-mile long (200 km), 2.5-mile (4 km) wide buffer zone which separates North Korea and Soth Korea.

Once there, we'll explore the most emblematic features. Are you ready to discover one of the most formidable places in the world? We'll start by walking along Freedom Road, which runs alongside the banks of the Imjin River until Imjingak Park, where we'll see some of the artillery used during the Korean War

Next, we'll see the Unification Bridge, built in 1998 as a symbol of the desire for unity between North and South Korea. Not only that, but we'll also visit an exhibition room in the DMZ where we'll see documents and artefacts regarding the military conflict.

Afterwards, we'll enter the infiltration tunnel, dug underneath the border between the two nations. Upon leaving the tunnel, we'll head to the Dora Observatory where we'll use telescopes to see the North Korean town of Kijongdong. Interestingly, this town is known by North Koreans as "Peace Village", but it is commonly referred to as "Propaganda Village", particularly by South Koreans and Western media.

Finally, we'll make our way back to the departure point in Seoul and end this 7 to 8.5-hour day trip.

Gamaksan Suspension Bridge

If you choose this tour option, we'll follow the same itinerary of the previous tour and, in addition, we'll visit the Gamaksan Suspension Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Korea.

This footbridge is 220 meters (721 feet) long and 1.5 meters (5 feet) wide, giving it ample space. In addition, the bridge can withstand winds of up to 30 meters per second and earthquakes of up to 7 degrees of magnitude.

Meeting Point

When booking, you can choose between the following meeting points:

  • Myeongdong Subway Station, exit 9: at 7 am or 9:30 am
  • City Hall Subway Station, exit 6: at 7 am or 9:30 am
  • Hongik Univ Subway Station, exit 3: at 7:20 am or 9:30 am

Important Information

  • You must bring your passport to be able to enter the DMZ.
  • Please note that, as this is a border area, the itinerary may change without advanced notice.

Visit other Demilitarized Zones
