Butrint National Park Tour
Butrint National Park Tour
At 9 am, we'll meet at Tea Tours & Bookstore Toena in Saranda to board our air-conditioned vehicle that will take us to the fascinating ancient city of Butrint! After a 30-minute drive, we'll reach the Butrint National Park, which is home to an archaeological site containing incredible Greco-Roman, Byzantine, and Venetian ruins.
We'll begin by visiting the Roman theatre, which dates back to the Hellenistic period. Despite being around 2,400 years old, the seats and part of the stage remain remarkably intact today! We'll also admire the Temple of Asclepius, another vestige from the ancient Greek city of Bouthroton.
Next, we'll delve into the Roman era of this ancient city by heading to the 6th-century basilica and marveling at its spectacular mosaic pavement. Lastly, we'll go to the Venetian castle to take in its impressive views and visit its museum!
To top everything off, on the way back to Saranda, we'll stop at the paradise beaches of Ksamil to relax and enjoy the Ionian Sea for about 2 hours!
Finally, after 5 hours of exploring Butrint and enjoying the beaches of Ksamil, we'll drop you back off in Saranda.
