Blue Pond Hokkaido Day Trip
We'll meet at Sapporo Station at the scheduled time and set off on a 2.5 hour bus journey for a day of natural beauty. Ready to visit the Hokkaido flower fields?
Leaving Sapporo behind, we'll enter the Hokkaido Biei Sky, considered one of the most beautiful roads in Japan. Along the route, known as Roller Coaster Road, we'll enjoy unforgettable views of the region's scenery.
Then, we'll arrive at the Blue Pond, near the city of Biei. As we marvel at the intense blue of its waters, we'll discuss the many theories behind the cause of the intense blue color. Though the true reason is yet to be revealed!
Next, we'll enjoy a delicious free buffet featuring traditional Japanese delicacies. With newfound energy, we'll continue our tour and head to Shikisai-no-oka or Tomita farm, depending on availability. In both cases, the flower fields of Hokkaido will be the absolute stars of the show.
If we visit Shikisai-no-oka, we'll enjoy a valley where colors blend into different shapes and reliefs. If we go to Tomita farm, we'll discover one of the oldest fields in Japan, where there are more than 150 types of flowers.
To end the day, we'll go to Ningle Terraces, a small village of wooden houses full of local artisans selling unique products.
Finally, we'll begin our route back to Sapporo, arriving after 10 hours of sightseeing.
