The mysticism of the Buddhist Zu Lai Temple and the magic of Embu das Artes come together on this private day trip to two of the most popular places in the state of Sao Paulo.
Zu Lai Temple Private Day Trip + Embu das Artes
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and kick off our day trip to two of the most iconic places in the state of Sao Paulo.
Just under an hour later, we'll come to our first destination. This would be the Fo Guang Shan Zu Lai Temple. Did you know that it's the largest Buddhist temple in Latin America?
When we get there, we'll explore this fantastic 1,614,500-square foot (150,000-square metre) building that receives visitors from far and wide who are seeking peace and spiritual renewal. We'll tour its sober interior and the gardens while marvelling at its beautiful architecture.
After exploring all the nooks and crannies of the temple, we'll head to our next destination: Embu das Artes. In this picturesque colonial town, we'll stroll around its art galleries and craft, jewellery and decorative shops and stalls selling delicious food.
This municipality is famous for hosting craft fairs where the essence of Brazilian culture is displayed with pride. As we wander through the streets and markets, you'll feel the traditional spirit of Embu das Artes.
You'll then have some free time to have lunch in one of the village's charming restaurants. We recommend trying some cachaça and açai yoghurt!
We'll then reconvene and return to Sao Paulo to drop you off at your hotel for 3 pm.
