Description
After being picked up at your hotel in São Paulo at 8:30 am, you'll head north towards Holambra, known as the City of Flowers.
Did you know that the name of this city was created by combining "Holland" and "Brazil"? From that same union, this picturesque town was born, founded by Dutch settlers who missed their homeland and decided to recreate it with tulip gardens and windmills.
After about a two-hour journey, we'll arrive in Holambra and begin our tour. Visiting the flower farms, we'll learn all about the cultivation stages of each species and, of course, you'll be able to snap as many photos as you want among the flowerbeds. Gerber daisies, daisies, chrysanthemums... There's a whole range of fragrances and colors!
We'll continue with a sightseeing tour of Holambra to see important sites like the Flower Market, Praça Van Gogh, the Pioneers House Museum and the Town Hall Square. During the visit, we'll discover the history of the the Dutch immigrants who founded Holambra, as well as other cultural aspects of this city in the state of São Paulo.
Next, we'll see the Deck do Amor, a pier located on the shores of Vitoria Regia Lake where couples seal their love forever by securing a padlock. We'll also see Moinho Povos Unidos, a replica of a typical Dutch water mill.
After the city tour, you'll have some free time to get lunch on your own or do some shopping before returning to São Paulo, where we'll drop you off at your hotel at around 3:30 pm.
