We'll pick you up at your hotel in São Joaquim at the time of your choice to start this apple tour. Did you know that this crop represents more than 80% of the city's economy?
Our first stop will be at the Company of Agricultural Research and Rural Extension of Santa Catarina, or EPAGRI, responsible for research and rural extension activities in the state. There, we'll come to understand how this region has become a benchmark in the preservation, conservation, recovery, and sustainable use of natural resources in agricultural production.
Next, we'll go to the place where the apples are processed, where you'll learn about all the stages this fruit passes through, from harvesting to distribution, such as washing and selection. We'll also discover the most outstanding varieties of apples from the São Joaquim region: Gala and Fugi.
Worked up an appetite? The next stop on the tour will take us to an apple orchard where, if you wish, you can pick this delicious fruit directly from the tree and taste it for yourself. You won't be able to resist!
After four hours, we'll end the tour at your hotel in São Joaquim.
