Ons Island Ferry
Ons Island Ferry
The Maritime-Terrestrial Natural Park of the Atlantic Islands is a protected paradise off the coast of Galicia. We'll begin a brilliant trip to visit it by meeting up at the Juan Carlos I Marina before catching the ferry to Ons Island.
Wild beaches of white sand and serene turquoise waters will make you feel like you're in the Caribbean! All this is just 40 minutes by boat from Sanxenxo – a fantastic alternative to the popular Cíes Islands!
On the visit to Ons Island, you'll enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, the crystal waters of the Atlantic, and fabulous landscapes begging to be photographed. Also, if all this is making you hungry, you can taste the region's delicious fresh fish at one of the traditional restaurants.
Return Ferry Times
When making your reservation, you must indicate at what time you want to return from Ons Island among the different schedules that you'll find.
If you want to come back another day, you must also indicate it during the booking process. If you camp on the island, please note you'll have to obtain the authorization of the Xunta de Galicia beforehand.
Authorization to visit Ons Island
Ons Island is a protected area with a daily quota of visitors, and in order to travel to it you must obtain authorization from the Xunta de Galicia.
Please note that in high season (from 15 May to 15 September and at Easter) you'll have to bring your own authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to access Ons. We'll send it to you by email as soon as possible. The rest of the year, we won't send it to you, as it'll be the guide themselves who will bring it on the day of the tour.
If for any reason any of the people cannot attend the activity, you must give at least 15 days' notice and indicate the name and surname of the person who will be absent so that the Xunta de Galicia can remove them from the list.
Guided Tour of Ons Island
During the period from 1st October to 14th May, the ferry ticket also includes a one-hour-long guided tour of the island of Ons. This tour, however, is not offered during the 10 days of the Easter season, i.e. from the Friday before Easter to Easter Sunday.
