Swim at volcanic beaches, watch the sunset in Oia and visit the traditional villages of Santorini with this comprehensive tour of the island!
Guided Tour of Santorini
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel to start this comprehensive guided tour of Santorini.
First, we'll go to Akrotiri, an archaeological excavation site dating back to 1600 BC. Here you'll see a large number of artifacts including frescoes, paintings, ancient utensils, clay and metal objects.
After this visit, we'll get back on the bus and make our way to Emporio, the largest and oldest city of Santorini. It is also located at the foot of Mount Profitis Ilias, the highest point on the island. Legend has it that it was in this town that Sartre wrote his famous play Les Mouches. In this atypical city, you'll be able to admire its windmills on the top of the hills, its fortified castles, as well as its secular churches.
You'll then go to Perissa Beach where you'll have free time for lunch and swimming on the most famous black sand beach on the island.
After refueling, we'll visit a traditional winery and taste typical Santorini wines. A real treat for the palate! Then we'll head to Profitis Ilias, the highest peak of the island, to admire the view from the agricultural plains. You'll be left speechless!
Lastly, you'll have some free time in Oia to admire the sunset of Santorini, the most photographed place in Greece.
After approximately eleven hours of activity, we'll take you back to your hotel.
