Boat Tour around São Tomé
Sail Around São Tomé
At the indicated time you'll be picked up from your hotel in the city of São Tomé, from where you'll depart for the dock of Ana Chaves Bay. Here we'll start an unforgettable boat trip along the coast of São Tomé, which will take us around the island.
This Atlantic crossing starts off along the north and west coast of São Tomé. In this part of the island, we'll pass the small coastal towns of Neves and Santa Catarina. The sea route will then continue along the coastline of the Obô Natural Park. From the boat, we'll see two great jewels of this unspoilt area: the São Salvador waterfall and São Miguel beach.
After a brief photo stop in this inlet, we'll continue our journey sailing towards the south of São Tomé. At the southernmost point is Rolas Island, where we'll disembark to see the Equator Line Landmark.
We'll then go to a restaurant in Rolas for a traditional lunch including various local specialities. After lunch, we'll set off again along the Sete Pedras Islands. Did you know that a ship carrying slaves to Brazil sank in this area?
We'll continue sailing along the southwest coast of São Tomé, where we'll admire the famous volcanic neck of Pico Cão Grande. We'll then continue along the eastern coast of the island until we reach Santana Island, a small unspoilt islet where we'll take a short break to take photos and take in our surroundings.
Finally, we'll return to the departure pier and drive back to your hotel in the city of São Tomé, where we're expected to arrive 7 to 8 hours after pickup.
