Day Trip Details
Once we meet at the designated time in front of Parque Colón, where we'll leave Santo Domingo behind to begin this journey towards the Malecón de Samaná. During the 2.5-hour drive, we'll have a pause to enjoy a comforting coffee.
As soon as we reach the pier, we'll hop onto a boat and set sail in search of our star destination: Los Haitises National Park. While we sail, we'll move away from Samaná Bay and head towards the waters of San Lorenzo Bay. Its landscapes are postcard-pretty!
Next, we'll begin to explore the caves and islands in Los Haitises. We'll wander along natural paths, mangrove forests, and imposing rock formations covered in lush Caribbean vegetation.
After marvelling at nature, we'll return to the boat to make our way to Cayo Levantado. This islet surrounded by intensely turquoise waters will greet us with a wonderful buffet-style lunch. After re-energising, you'll have some free time on Cayo Levantado's beach to relax, sunbathe, and swim in the sea. What a privilege!
We'll then begin the return journey to Santo Domingo and say our goodbyes at our initial starting point after a total of 12 hours.
