Colonial Zone Neighborhood Bicycle Tour

We'll meet at the indicated time on Arzobispo Meriño Street, and from this central point of the Dominican capital, we'll start cycling through the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo.

The first stop will be at Colon Park, where we'll admire the façade of the Primada de América Cathedral. After learning about its history, we'll continue pedaling to Billini Square. There, we'll see the exterior of the famous Casa del Tostado and find out how it got it's interesting name.

We'll then continue our bike tour through the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo in Duarte Park. In this esplanade, we'll see the ruins of the Convent of Los Dominicos and, from there, we'll follow the route to the church of Las Mercedes. Afterwards, we'll pedal to the monument to Balandra Aurora and the Santo Domingo Obelisk.

Then, by following the wall of the Old City, we'll arrive at San José Park where we'll see the imposing monument to Fray Antonio de Montesinos. We'll move on to Pellerano Castro Square from where the emblematic Calle de las Damas, the oldest street in Santo Domingo, begins!

Next, we'll head to Plaza de España to admire the architecture of the iconic Alcázar de Colón. And, after delving into its past, we'll tour the area of Santa Barbara and the ruins of San Francisco!

Finally, after 2 hours of cycling through the oldest part of the Dominican capital, we'll end the tour back at the meeting point.
