2-Day trip to Bahia de las Aguilas
Day 1
Let's start our journey! We'll meet at your chosen pickup point and set off on a road trip to Jaragua National Park, home to the stunning Bahía de las Águilas. The travel time is around four and a half hours, with a breakfast stop along the way.
While on the bus, you'll get to savor the breathtaking views of the Barahona coastline. Our first destination is the Los Patos River, famous for being the world's shortest river, stretching only 100 meters.
Next, we'll arrive at the captivating San Rafael beach, a true gem in the Pearl of the South. You'll have approximately two hours to relish the crystal-clear waters of the Dominican Caribbean. Relax on the sandy shores, take refreshing dips, and soak in the unique natural beauty.
After a delightful traditional lunch break, we'll continue to our next highlight: the enchanting Pozos de Romeo. Take a final swim before we head to the lodge.
As the day of adventure comes to a close, we'll reach the hotel and savor a delicious typical dinner.
Day 2
Day two begins with a hearty breakfast to fuel our adventure. Our next destination is the quaint village of Cueva de los Pescadores.
Upon arrival, a change of pace awaits as we hop on a boat to embark on a 3-kilometer journey to the captivating Bahía de las Águilas. Along this picturesque route, we'll be treated to the area's most stunning landscapes. Fun fact: this beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the world!
A well-deserved lunch break will provide the perfect opportunity to refuel before we conclude our journey by returning to the starting point.
