Explore the history of the Santiago de Querétaro aqueduct on a tour of its most iconic sites, including fountains, convents, and baroque landmarks. Don't miss it!

Tour Details

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Mirador de los Arcos to begin our walking tour, marveling at the grand arches of Santiago de Querétaro’s 18th-century aqueduct, a symbol of colonial engineering.

Next, we'll visit the Pantheon of Illustrious Queretanos, honoring prominent regional figures, followed by the Santa Cruz Convent, where we'll uncover the history behind the water courtyard, the aqueduct’s endpoint, and its important role in the hydraulic system.

We'll then pass some of Querétaro's iconic fountains, including the Pilar Fountain (the city's first), the Marqués Fountain in Plaza de Armas, the Goddess Eve Fountain in Zenea Garden, and the Neptune Fountain—each a piece of the city's rich urban history.

From here, we'll make a special stop at Queretaro Museum of Art, where we'll explore its stunning baroque courtyard. After a brief explanation to appreciate its intricate design, we'll move on to the final stop.

As we wrap up our adventure, we'll make our final stop at the Temple and Convent of Santa Rosa de Viterbo, a breathtaking baroque complex known for its artistic and spiritual significance. After 4 hours of discovery, we'll say goodbye at this final point.
