Santiago del Estero Villages Tour
Santiago del Estero Villages Tour
We'll leave at 9 am from your hotel in Santiago del Estero to take a route through the villages of the province. On this route we'll travel along the Camino Real, an ancient route that linked different post stations.
The first stop will be in San Pedro, where we'll visit the church of the same name and learn about the history and origins of the Camino Real. We'll then follow the route to Silípica to visit the sanctuary of Mama Antula, one of the most sacred places in the province of Santiago del Estero.
We'll continue our excursion along the Camino Real at the post of Manogasta. Did you know that General San Martín stopped here on his way through Santiago del Estero? After learning its history, we'll go to another outstanding point of the province: the artisan and productive fair of Upianita.
There we'll have a traditional lunch that includes empanadas, tamales and a typical dessert. As a drink, you can opt for a glass of wine or soda. After lunch, you'll enjoy a dance class in which you'll learn the basic movements of the santiagueñas dances such as chacareras and gatos.
At the end of this experience, you'll return to your hotel in Santiago del Estero, where you'll arrive at 1 pm.
