Santiago del Estero Culture Tour
After picking you up at 10 am at your hotel in Santiago del Estero, we'll head towards one of the most famous places in the city.
We'll stop in the Boca del Tigre neighbourhood, a district where you'll find the famous patio of Indio Froilán. This name refers to José Froilán González, a well-known luthier who will teach you how to make the 'bombo legüero' (bass drum). Did you know that this instrument is one of the most important in the traditional music of Santiago del Estero?
We'll also see up close and in person the live process of making the 'bombo legüero', which must be done with a brazier and a blackened kettle. This container is the key to making a high quality musical instrument.
Afterwards, in the courtyard of Indio Froilán you'll enjoy a delicious traditional lunch that includes tamales or empanadas accompanied by a typical dessert. As a drink, you can opt for a glass of wine or soda.
