On this 2-day tour of Monte Cristi, we'll explore the best of the paradisiacal coastal area in the northwest of the Dominican Republic. The perfect combination of history and adventure!

Tour Description

Day 1: Monte Cristi - El Morro

We'll start this adventure after meeting at the meeting point of your choice at the indicated time. Once ready, we'll head straight to the historic town of Monte Cristi. Did you know that it's nicknamed the jewel of the northwest of the Dominican Republic? We'll find out why!

Crossing the limestone hills, we'll reach the coastal town of Monte Cristi. As soon as we reach the centre, we'll see the clock tower of San Fernando de Monte Cristi, the ideal place to start learning about its history. Afterwards, we'll go to the Máximo Gómez House Museum and head inside for a guided tour and discover the secrets it holds.

Afterwards, we'll go up to the El Morro viewpoint while the sun starts to set. Get ready to see one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Greater Antilles! To end the first day on a high note, we'll have a delicious dinner at the popular La Casa Azul restaurant.

Finally, we'll drop you off at the hotel in Monte Cristi to rest. See you tomorrow!

Day 2: Mangroves - Grand Grossier - Isla Cabra

Are you ready to enjoy a Caribbean paradise? After a delicious Dominican breakfast, we'll board the boat that will take us to the mangroves. Sailing through the dense vegetation, we'll reach a platform at the mouth of the Caribbean Sea and stop for a swim and sunbathe.

Afterwards, we'll continue our boat trip in search of the Grand Grossier. As soon as you arrive, you'll fall in love with this impressive beach of white sand and turquoise waters. In this beautiful marine enclave, you'll find small wooden kiosks and swings.

The last stop? Isla Cabra, a sandy cay located near El Morro. From there, we'll admire the imposing cliff from its practically untouched beach while we have lunch at Marina del Mar de Monte Cristi. After enjoying the surroundings, we'll sail back to the starting point.

Finally, we'll say goodbye at 5 pm at the initial meeting point in Santiago de los Caballeros or at 7 pm in Santo Domingo.
