Santiago de Cuba Free Tour
Santiago de Cuba Free Tour
At the time indicated, we'll meet by Santísima Trinidad Church to start this free tour in Santiago de Cuba. Are you ready to discover the secrets of one of the oldest cities in the country?
We'll start exploring the streets and learning about the history of Santiago de Cuba. We'll stop by the facade of Don Diego Velázquez House, one of the first houses built in America by the Spanish. We'll reveal some of the most fascinating parts of the biography of this historical figure.
Additionally, we'll see the outside of the Emilio Bacardí Museum, founded by a previous mayor of Santiago de Cuba. This building is home to an armoury, objects belonging to independentist leaders, paintings, and even mummies from different parts of the world.
Then, we'll see other facades, such as those of the Lucha Clandestina Museum and the Moncada Prison. In this area, we'll learn all about the 26th of July Movement, an organisation led by Fidel Castro to combat the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
After a 2-hour route, we'll end this tour at the Historia 26 de Julio Museum.
