Templars Tour of Santiago
Templars Tour
At the scheduled time, you'll meet your Spanish-speaking guide in the centre of Santiago de Compostela, in Plaza Quintana. From here, and after a brief explanation about the Knights Templar, we'll start this guided walking tour around the streets of Santiago.
First, we'll head to the exterior of the Corticela Chapel, where we'll admire its façade and discover the symbolism and clues as to what it used to be - a Templar headquarters!
Afterward, we'll see the outside of the Church of Santa Maria do Camiño, another building with links to the Templars.
To round off our tour, we'll head inside the Collegiate Church of Santa María a Real do Sar. We'll discover its history as an old headquarters for the Knights Templar, as well as admire its impressive architecture and works of art. Then, we'll go by public transport to the city centre.
When the tour comes to an end, you'll receive a surprise souvenir that's linked to Santiago and the theme of this tour.
