Some of the most beautiful lighthouses in Galicia await us on this tour to Finisterre, Muxía and Cape Vilan from Santiago de Compostela. Discover the charms of the famous Costa da Morte and enjoy a boat trip!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at your selected meeting point, where we'll board a bus and set off to discover the beauty of the coast of A Coruña and its many lighthouses

The first stop will be at the Paxareiras viewpoint, which offers incredible views of Carnota Beach and the Finisterre peninsula. After a short break for photos, we'll continue the excursion to the famous Finisterre lighthouse, the westernmost lighthouse on the Iberian Peninsula.

There, we'll spend about half an hour visiting the Finisterre lighthouse and its surroundings. We'll tell you why this area is known as the Costa da Morte, or Coast of Death, and we'll reveal ancient stories of magic and mystery linked to this historic region.

Afterward, we'll take you to the port of Finisterre for a boat trip along the wildly beautiful Galician coastline. What's more, during the cruise, you'll be able to taste several typical products like Galician empanada accompanied by a soft drink, a vermouth, a glass of wine or water.

After an hour and 15 minute boat trip, we'll return to land and take you to the centre of Finisterre. You'll have an hour and a half of free time to explore the town and get some lunch in a local restaurant.

With renewed energy, we'll meet back up at the bus and go to Muxía. We'll talk all about the important pilgrimage tradition of this town while we visit the Sanctuary of the Virgin of A Barca, a place full of legends related to the apostle Santiago, or St James.

The last stop of the day will be at the Lighthouse of Cape Vilan, known for being one of the most dangerous and most beautiful stretches of the Costa da Morte. In fact, the cape is protected as a Natural Site of National Interest. We'll visit the museum of the Cabo Vilán lighthouse to learn all about its history and hear tales of the shipwrecks that have taken place off the coast of Galicia.

After a total of 10 hours, the excursion will conclude back at the starting point in Santiago de Compostela.
