San Cristobal Hill Excursion
San Cristobal Hill Excursion
We'll begin this tour of San Cristobal Hill by meeting up at the entrance located on Pío Nono Street. There we'll hand you a pass that will allow you to ride the funicular, buses, and cable car of the Metropolitan Park for the whole day.
After a brief introduction of the park's history, we'll start touring one of its most outstanding places: the famous San Cristobal Hill. We'll first visit the sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception, with a chapel and a beautiful set of religious sculptures as the highlights.
Next, we'll take the cable car up the San Cristobal hill to enjoy magnificent panoramic views. This aerial route will take us to the Tupahue station. Here, we'll see the great pool that bears the same name and, after learning about its history, we'll descend by bus or cable car to the Oasis station on the hill.
Then, we'll take a walk around this last station and continue our tour of the San Cristobal hill in the Japanese Garden. In this Japanese-inspired space, we'll enjoy a floral ensemble that will undoubtedly transport us to the distant lands of East Asia.
Finally, our tour of the hill will come to an end in the Japanese Garden. From there, if you wish, we can accompany you back to the Oasis station.
Once there, with the transport pass that we gave you at the beginning of the tour, you'll be able to move around San Cristobal Hill and the other areas in the Metropolitan Park of Santiago at your leisure. Please note that the entire park closes at 7 pm.
Inside the park, you'll have the chance to enjoy several attractions such as the zoo or the Tupahue and Antilen pools at your own pace .
