La Parva Hike
What to expect on the La Parva Hike
We pick you up at your hotel early in the morning before departing for La Parva, one of Chile's most famous ski resorts.
After traveling for around an hour and a half, we will reach the foothills of the Andes. Then we drive past some of the regions most important winter resorts until we get to the Commune of Lo Barnechea where we stop for a succulent breakfast.
After eating, we continue on our journey to La Parva. Once we have arrived, we will begin a hike from the El Águila chairlift. We climb up to the Piuquenes lagoon, at over 11,000 feet. After enjoying this spectacular wilderness, we continue walking, reaching the summit of the magnificent Cerro Pintor around 5 hours after we set off. Once there, our guide will tell you the fascinating story of how this peak earned its name.
After enjoying the amazing panoramic views from the top, we will head back down to the foot of the mountain where a picnic lunch will be waiting for us. Feeling reenergized, we hike back to the ski center at La Parva and catch the bus back to Santiago de Chile where we drop you back at your hotel.
