Santiago Tour + National History Museum
Tour Details
We'll start the day by picking you up at the indicated time at your hotel in Santiago and make our way towards the National History Museum, located inside the Palacio de la Real Audiencia de Santiago, in the Plaza de Armas.
Once there, we'll take a guided tour in which we'll explore its rooms, which host a series of original objects that narrate the history of Chile since the Pre-Columbian era.
After visiting this building declared a National Monument, we'll go up to the viewpoint and bell tower to admire the famous Plaza de Armas. It will be the perfect place to begin to learn about the history of Chile from its roots.
Next, we'll take the funicular up to San Cristóbal Hill, a large park that has become a true haven of peace for locals. Once at the top, we'll have the best views of Santiago with the Andes as a backdrop.
After exploring the hill, we'll head to El Galeón, in Santiago's Central Market, and give you free time to get yourself a delicious lunch.
Next, we'll embark on a walking tour of the historic monuments of the old town. We'll pass by Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral and other buildings that reflect the past and architectural elegance of the Chilean capital. Finally, we'll visit the Parque Bicentenario, an oasis commemorating Chile's 200 years of independence.
After exploring its extensive gardens and sculptures, we'll head back to your hotel, where we'll bid farewell 8 hours after the initial pickup.
