Cienaga Stilt Housing Day Trip
Cienaga Stilt Housing Day Trip
At 5.30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to the dock of Islas del Rosario. From here, we'll enjoy a boat ride through the Cienaga Grande de Santa Marta. This area, declared a World Biosphere Reserve, is located a few kilometers from the town of Cienaga.
You'll have the chance to admire the varied vegetation and wildlife, the trails of lush greenery, and the lagoons that make up the swamp. Along these lagoons, you'll see small fishing villages known as ''pueblitos palafitos'' (small stilt housing villages).
Our tour will stop in one of these villages to learn about the lifestyle of its people and their ancestral customs. It'll be an unforgettable experience! Afterward, we'll enjoy a traditional meal based on fish or vegetables to discover the flavors of the local cuisine.
Lastly, we'll get back on the minibus and start our way back to Santa Marta, arriving at 2.30 pm.

This tour includes pick-up from hotels located in Santa Marta, except for the Minca or Tangana areas.
