Buritaca & Quebrada Valencia Day Trip
Buritaca & Quebrada Valencia Day Trip
Once we've picked you up from your hotel in Santa Marta, we'll drive to one of the most unique protected areas in northern Colombia. The Tayrona National Natural Park awaits!
When we get there, we'll hike through its lush, tropical forests. During our 25-minute walk, we'll admire this vibrant ecosystem up close and discover how many species of local flora and fauna call this spot home.
Next, we'll take a refreshing swim in the waterfalls and natural pools of the Quebrada Valencia. This river flows all the way up to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and passes through green landscapes along the way.
Our final destination will be the coastal town of Buritaca. Located at the mouth of the river of the same name, this Caribbean town is home to a dreamlike beach. You'll have some free time here to swim in the sea and get some food at one of its restaurants.
In the afternoon, we'll make our way back to Santa Marta and accompany you to your accommodation. See you next time!
Guachaca River
If you're going on the day trip in the rainy season, the visit to Quebrada Valencia will be substituted for a dip in the Guachaca River.
This change to the itinerary will take place from the end of March to the beginning of June and from the end of September to the beginning of December.
