At the indicated time, we'll meet at Avenida dos Hotéis to start this electric car tour of Sal Island. Are you ready to discover the most iconic places of the island from a different perspective?
First of all, we'll head to Ponta do Sinó, a place dedicated to the preservation of the beaches at the southern tip of the island. Here, you'll see a charming lighthouse with spectacular views of the Atlantic. Next, you'll pass by the Morabeza Lobby Bar, the first resort in Cape Verde, founded in 1967 by Belgian industrialists. This place is a symbol of the island's hospitality.
We'll continue our route by car to the famous Santa Maria pier, where we'll stop for 10 minutes to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. Here, you'll see fishermen, artists and musicians—a real cultural spectacle!
Afterwards, we'll go to the Santa Maria Municipal Market, where you'll have the opportunity to get to know the handicrafts and typical products of the island. You'll also be able to talk to the artisans and appreciate the charm of daily life on Sal Island. Next, we'll make a 15-minute stop at the salt mines of Santa Maria, where you'll learn about salt production, a resource that was fundamental to the island's economy in the 19th century. Don't forget to take a salt rock as a souvenir!
Then, we'll pass by the Kite Surf beach, one of the most internationally known places for kitesurfing and windsurfing in Cape Verde. Finally, we'll arrive at the Pachamama Eco Park, a beautiful botanical garden where you can enjoy the flora of Cape Verde. Did you know that this park started as a humble space to produce grass for golf courses, and today it's a refuge for more than 300 animals?
After 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll return to the meeting point, where we'll conclude this fun electric car tour.
