Description
Having picked you up from your hotel in Sal Island, we'll make our way to the dive center and its open-air pool. Kitted out in a wetsuit, and with fins, mouthpieces, tanks, and goggles, we'll begin to learn the basics of scuba diving with an hour-long introductory lesson.
So you're fueled up for this underwater adventure, we'll take you back to your hotel where you'll have two free hours to eat a strong meal and rest up. In the afternoon, we'll be back to pick you up and head over to the island pier.
Once we've got all our scuba gear on and fastened correctly we'll make our way to the coast, hoping to view as many marine species as possible along the way. Cape Verde is one of the Atlantic Ocean's prime dive spots, and once at the beach, we'll dive for an hour at various different levels, depending on the capabilities of the group., with a maximum of 12 feet!
In this introduction to diving activity, we'll witness the rich subaquatic ecosystem found at Sal Island. You'll enjoy views of coral, turtles, manta rays, and any number of exotic fish species. You'll be able to see these stunning creatures up close - without doubt an experience that will stay with you forever.
With the dive over, we'll head back to the pier where we started and then additionally back to your respective hotel. In total, the activity will last about 3 hours if you opt for the morning option or 2.5 hours in the afternoon.
Hotel Pickup
This activity includes pickup from most of the hotels in Santa Maria. When you make your booking, we'll contact you to let you know the time and exact pickup point. If you are not staying at the hotels with pick up, we'll meet you at the dive center, located on the beach of Santa Maria.
