Tortuga Bay Galapagos Day Trip

Want to spend an amazing day in the Galapagos Islands? Join us on a day trip to Tortuga Bay and spend the day admiring the incredible nature in these Ecuadorian Islands.

After picking you up from your accommodation in Santa Cruz Island, we'll begin our day with a pleasant 40-minute walk through the forest to Tortuga Bay.

Hidden in the bay and surrounded by green mangroves, we'll find the peaceful Playa Mansa Beach. We'll spend the morning enjoying the beach. You can relax on the soft white sand, sunbathe, or swim in the crystalline seawater. You can also make use of this time to have lunch at your own leisure.

At around 2 pm, we'll meet back up at the Tortuga Bay dock to board a boat that will take us out to sea to explore the bay's surroundings. We'll make a stop at La Lobería, a small island inhabited by incredible sea lions. You'll have the opportunity to swim and go snorkelling with these playful and adorable animals. How fun!

Next, we'll continue the cruise towards the Tunnel of Love, a natural fissure between large rock formations through which pristine turquoise waters flow. At the end of the rock tunnel, we'll reach a viewpoint from where we'll might spot oceanic white-tip sharks.

After taking in those views, our next stop will be Playa de los Perros Beach, famous for being home to the largest number of marine iguanas on Santa Cruz Island. The last stop on our boat cruise will be a tiny beach at Punta Estrada, before heading back to the starting point.

Finally, we'll drop you back off at your hotel after an 8-hour day exploring Tortuga Bay in the Galapagos Islands. See you again soon!

Hotel pickup

This tour includes pickup and drop-off at the main hotels on Santa Cruz Island. If your hotel is in an area that's difficult to access, or in the higher parts of the island, please arrive at the Solymar hotel at 8 am.
