Galapagos Islands 7-day Luxury Cruise

Day 1: Baltra Island - Santa Cruz Island

At 10:20 am, we'll pick you up at the Baltra airport and head by bus to the port of Santa Cruz Island. There, we'll board the luxury cruise that we'll be spending the next 7 days on.

After enjoying our first meal on board, we'll head to the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora. We'll see how the Galapagos tortoises are cared for and discover very curious facts about this species, as well as about the national park.

We'll conclude the day by returning to the boat for dinner.

Day 2: Eden Islet - Santa Cruz Island

The second day of the cruise will be dedicated to visiting the northwest area of Santa Cruz. There, we'll spot the small Eden Islet, an unspoiled paradise inhabited by land iguanas and numerous species of seabirds. Here, we'll leave you free time to snorkel and admire the underwater beauty of the Galapagos National Park.

We'll return to the cruise ship for lunch and, in the afternoon, we'll take a short hike up Dragon Hill. This hike on Santa Cruz Island will lead us to a saltwater lagoon frequented by flamingos and ducks that we'll be able to see up close!

To finish the day, we'll head back to the boat to have dinner and rest.

Day 3: Tintoreras Islet - Isabela Island

After a delicious breakfast on board, we'll head south to Isabela Island, the largest of the Galapagos and one of the youngest. We'll board a dinghy to visit the islet of Tintoreras, named so for the large population of Tintorera sharks. With a little luck, we might also see herons, sea lions, and Galapagos penguins.

Following lunch, we'll continue exploring the island, disembarking in Puerto de Villamil. We'll visit the flamingo lagoon and walk along the path known as the Wall of Tears. We'll go back to the middle of the 20th century to reveal the sad history of this place before returning to the ship for dinner.

Day 4: Isabela Island

The fourth day will be spent getting to know Isabela. In the morning, we'll hike around Punta Moreno. We'll follow the path of a solidified lava flow while admiring the coastal lagoons and spotting the birds that fly over the mangroves of this area.

After lunch, we'll take a zodiac ride along the cliffs of Cala Tajo. Afterwards, we'll take a short hike around the island to get close to Darwin Lake and enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the Galapagos volcanoes!

We'll then retire to the cruise ship for dinner and replenish our strength for the next day.

Day 5: Fernandina Island - Isabela Island

With our stomachs full with breakfast, we'll disembark at Punta Espinosa, Fernandina's main observation area. Did you know that it's the third largest island in the Galapagos National Park? Here, we'll see many iguanas and the world's only flightless cormorant species.

While we have lunch, we'll cross the Bolivar Channel and arrive at Vicente Roca Point, on the northwestern tip of Isabela. Sea caves, high cliffs, and the solemn silhouette of the Ecuador Volcano are the main features at the end of the fifth day of our Galapagos cruise. If you wish, you can also take a dip before dinner!

Day 6: Santiago Island - Rábida Islet

After breakfast we'll go to Santiago, specifically to Puerto Egas. We'll learn about the blackish colors that characterize this landscape which make a shocking contrast with the reddish tones of the Rábida islet that we'll visit after lunch.

In the evening, we'll rest and have dinner on board.

Day 7: Santa Cruz Island - Baltra Island

On this last day, we'll head for the beaches of Las Bachas, located on the north coast of Santa Cruz. In one of the beaches, we'll see sea turtles, flamingos, and iguanas. And in the other one, we'll see two beached ships that were abandoned there during World War II from when the United States used this area as a strategic enclave to defend the Panama Canal.

And, finally, it's time to say goodbye. We'll finish the cruise by taking you to the Baltra airport so that you can take your return flight.
