Floreana Island Tour
Description
At 7:45 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel and drive to the south of Santa Cruz Island. Here you'll find the Puerto Ayora pier, where we'll depart in the direction of Floreana, one of the populated islands of the Galapagos.
The crossing, which will last 1 hour 30 minutes, will take us first to Enderby Islet. There we'll see its native birds, including boobies, gulls and frigate birds. We'll also go snorkelling if weather permits.
You'll get the opportunity to enjoy a fishing activity, before heading to Las Cuevas. Floreana Island has a long history in which whalers, pirates and a family that decided to live on this island are intermingled in legends that give this place important fame.
After enjoying a delicious lunch, we'll go to Punta Cormorant. This area north of Floreana is home to large sandy beaches of different colours, and one of the largest flamingo lagoons in the Galapagos. This volcanic formation also has craters that house reefs, providing one of the best places for swimming and snorkelling.
Finally, at 4 pm we'll return to Puerto Ayora.
