Santa Cruz Island Bike Tour
Santa Cruz Island Bike Tour
At the indicated time, we'll either pick you up from your hotel on Santa Cruz Island or meet you at San Francisco Park in Puerto Ayora. From there, we'll drive to the town of Guayabillos.
After just 15 minutes on the road, we'll find ourselves in the jungles that stretch across the island's interior. We'll then set off on a bike tour to the reserve. For an hour, we'll cycle through 9 miles (14 kilometers) of lush jungles.
As we ride, we'll learn all about the flora that thrives in this part of the island. Our bike route will also take us to an area inhabited by the famous giant Galápagos tortoises - can you guess how much an adult tortoise might weigh? We'll learn the answer to this question and lots of other fun facts about these animals.
We'll make a stop along the way to calmly contemplate the impressive lava tunnels and learn about the geology of the Galapagos. We'll also have a delicious snack before heading back to the starting point of the cycling route. On the way back, we'll visit the fascinating Nymphs Lagoon, where we'll take a moment to relax and take pictures.
We'll then return to your hotel on Santa Cruz Island and say our goodbyes after 4-5 hours of fun!
