El Chato Ranch Giant Tortoise Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Santa Cruz Island to start the tour. Are you ready for this exciting adventure? Once we're all gathered, we'll set off towards the higher part of the island.
We'll arrive at the El Chato Ranch, where giant tortoises roam in their natural habitat. We'll walk along green trails where we'll encounter these peculiar reptiles that can grow up to a meter and a half long and weigh over 250 kilos (551 pounds). We'll see how they eat, roll in the mud and walk through this huge space - you'll be able to take the most impressive pictures of them!
Next, we'll walk to the famous lava tunnels of Santa Cruz Island, which are also part of the attraction of this reserve. Did you know that these tunnels are 2 kilometers long, although only 250 meters of them can be accessed? We'll enter these natural formations to go back in time, while walking through its passageways.
After three hours of enjoying the nature of the Galapagos in its purest form, we'll drop you back at your hotel in Santa Cruz.
