Santa Cruz de la Sierra Museum Tour
Santa Cruz de la Sierra Museum Tour
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel to start this tour of the main museums of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. By visiting these different institutions, we'll learn about Bolivian art, history, and traditions.
The tour will start at the Museum of Sacred Art, located in the Metropolitan Cathedral. Inside, we'll find silver pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as portraits, jewelry, and liturgical objects.
Then, we'll continue our visit at the Melchor Pinto Museum, an art gallery that was the residence of this activist and houses his personal archives. We'll then head to the Independence Museum, where we'll learn about this important period in Bolivia's history.
Afterwards, we'll go to the El Altillo Museum, dedicated to regional architecture. Next, we'll learn more about the artisan tradition of Santa Cruz de la Sierra by visiting the Arte Campo Museum, where we'll see different samples of fabrics and other elements belonging to the ethnic groups of the region.
Finally, we'll say goodbye at the exit of this last museum at 12 noon.
Changes in the Itinerary
In the event that any of the above-mentioned museums are closed, we'll visit the Natural History Museum.
