Flores Island Viewpoints Tour
Flores Island Viewpoints Tour
If you want to enjoy a route full of magical places, this is the perfect tour for you. At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel. From there, we'll embark on an adventure to the best viewpoints of the island of Flores.
First, we'll stop at a natural balcony overlooking the villages of Alagoa and Cedros. Then, we'll continue on to the town of Ponta Ruiva, where we'll climb to another viewpoint to see the Ilhéu Furado, a volcanic rock in the middle of the Atlantic.
Afterward, our guide will take us to visit the Carlos Machado Museum, a center that exhibits agricultural pieces representing the tradition and essence of the Azores. We'll then continue our journey by road, stopping at another viewpoint to admire Ponta Delgada and the island of Corvo in the distance.
Next, we'll go to Fajã Grande to see the Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro, a unique natural landscape that we'll find at the end of a 2 km trail. After this brief hike, we'll come across a huge cliff draped with waterfalls of up to 90 meters high. A beautiful sight to see!
You'll also have the opportunity to visit the beautiful spring of Poço do Bacalhau and enjoy the views from the Ponta da Fajã viewpoint. If you look carefully, you might even be able to see the islet of Monchique, the westernmost point of Portugal!
This tour will conclude with the arrival back at your hotel at 1 pm.
