Flores Island Lagoons & Lajes Tour
At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to start our tour of the lagoons on Flores Island.
Our first stop will be the Reserva Natural do Morro Alto e Pico da Se, a unique natural setting with seven volcanic lagoons, including Branca, Funda, Comprida and Seca.
On the trails of these lakes, we'll find forests of laurels, cedars, hydrangeas, and lilies. What's more, in this marvelous natural reserve there are different lookout points to admire the view from above.
We'll continue our tour to Rocha dos Bordões, a large basaltic rock formation, and we'll make two stops at the viewpoints of Portal and Craveiro Lopes. Cameras at the ready! Next, we'll head to the village of Lajes to visit an old whaling factory, where we'll learn about the importance of whaling on this island.
Then, we'll visit the church of Matriz de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, which houses a polychrome Renaissance altarpiece in the presbytery. On the way out, we'll make another stop at the Lajedo lookout point to see the amazing view of the Atlantic and admire the colossal rock of Rocha dos Frades.
After four hours of touring the island, we'll drop you off back at your hotel, ending the activity.
