Flores Island Day Tour
Flores Island Day Tour
At 9:30 am on the morning of the activity, we'll pick you up at your hotel for a complete tour of the island of Flores. Ready for an adventure?
We'll hop on a minibus, passing through the villages of Alagoa and Cedros until we reach the Carlos Machado Museum, where we'll learn all about the history of the famous archipelago. Not far from there we'll find the Ilhéu Furado viewpoint, where you'll enjoy views of a very peculiar rock.
Next, we'll stop at the viewpoint of Ponta Delgada, followed by another spot where we'll be able to see the islet of Maria Vaz. Then, we'll continue our route through the island's seven thermal water lakes, all originating from volcanic calderas.
During the tour, you'll also have a chance to marvel at the huge basalt columns of the famous Rocha dos Bordões. We'll also make several stops at the viewpoints of Portal and Craveiro Lopes to enjoy the best panoramic views Flores Island has to offer.
On a visit to the municipality of Lajes, you'll explore the local church and discover the treasure it houses. Then, after an hour of free time for lunch, we'll go to two paradisiacal enclaves: Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro and the Poço do Bacalhau waterfall.
Last but not least, we'll stop at the picturesque Ponta da Fajã viewpoint for some more stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. Then, we'll take you back to your hotel, arriving at 4:30 pm.
