On this tuk-tuk tour of Santa Clara, we'll visit the Che Guevara Mausoleum and other iconic spots in one of Cuba's most historic cities.
Highlights
At the scheduled time, you'll be picked up from your accommodation in Santa Clara. However, not in any ordinary vehicle, but in a tuk-tuk, also called a rickshaw: one of the most popular forms of transport in this part of Cuba.
Over the course of 3 hours, you'll visit some of the most iconic spots in the city centre. You'll visit Leoncio Vidal Park, where you'll see the façades of the famous Teatro la Caridad and the Decorative Arts Museum. And very nearby you'll also get to see the famous colourful buildings of Santa Clara.
You'll continue by tuk-tuk to one of the most symbolic locations in all of Santa Clara: the Che Guevara Mausoleum. On the inside of this funeral-monument, you'll witness some of the aspects of the life of Guevara, whose remains weren't moved to Cuba until the year 1997.
The next stop will take place at the Armoured Train Monument. This convoy assumed a key role in the battle of Santa Clara.
Finally, you'll be returned to your accommodation after around 3 hours together
