On this private day trip from Santa Barbara, you'll get to know Solvang and Santa Ynez. To do so, we'll pick you up from your hotel and begin this tour which is bound to make you fall in love with this part of the country.
Firstly, we'll make our way to Solvang, a small piece of Denmark in California. This charming place is considered a "Little Denmark" because of the architecture of its house, built in the Danish style. It even has a replica of the Copenhagen Little Mermaid statue and a bust of Hans Christian Andersen!
Once we arrive, you'll get to stroll down its beautiful streets filled with shops and restaurants, which will transport you straight to Europe without having to step foot out of the United States. Additionally, you cannot miss out on the Danish pastries sold in the bakeries. They are delicious!
After getting to know Solvang, we'll set off towards the Santa Ynez Valley, the perfect spot to learn about Californian winemaking traditions. To do so, we'll explore its vineyards, where grape cultivation began in 1970 and, nowadays, features over 200 wineries. If you wish, you can enjoy an exquisite wine tasting in one of the wineries we'll pass by.
Lastly, we'll return to your hotel in Santa Barbara, where this private day trip will come to an end after a total of 6 hours.
