Zumaia, Zarautz & Getaria Day Trip
Zumaia, Zarautz & Getaria Day Trip
At the agreed time, we'll meet at San Sebastian Bus Station and hop on a minibus. We'll leave the city behind and head for Guipuzkoa's coastline to get our day trip started.
After a 30-minute drive, we'll make our first stop at the viewpoint of Mount Talaimendi. This natural balcony boasts incredible views of Guipuzkoa's coastline and the beautiful town of Zarautz. Don't forget your camera!
Next, we'll head to Zarautz to get swept away in its stately, surfing atmosphere. We'll stroll through its streets and learn some fun facts about its history before hopping back on the minibus.
We'll then travel west along the coast until we get to Getaria, the birthplace of the designer Balenciaga. When we get to Malkorbe Beach, we'll pause to admire the coastal scenery. We'll also be able to spot a small island in the sea and observe how Getaria climbs up the coast. These beaches were also the birthplace of the navigator Juan Sebastián Elcano.
The last stop of the day will be in Zumaia, where you'll find San Telmo Beach. We'll stroll along this beach, also known as Itzurum, to discover an exceptional example of the flysch. These rock formations on the beach make San Telmo a unique geological site and a spectacular place to visit. In addition, if you're a Game of Thrones fan, you'll love strolling along the beach where Daenerys planned her conquest of the Seven Kingdoms.
Our day trip will come to an end between 4 and 4 and a half hours after the beginning of the activity, dropping you off back at the starting point.
