San Sebastián Electric Bike Tour
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Plaza Sarriegi. At this point, we'll get on our electric bikes to start pedalling through the streets and beaches of San Sebastián. Ready? Let's go!
Starting our journey in the heart of the Old Town, we'll pedal our way along Boulevard Avenue, through the picturesque Alderdi Eder gardens, and along the stunning La Concha promenade. Our ride will also take us to the enchanting gardens of Miramar Palace, where we'll delve into the rich history of San Sebastián, tracing its evolution from the 10th century to the present day, with a special focus on the city’s Belle Époque at the dawn of the 20th century.
Next, we’ll ascend Mount Igeldo, where breathtaking views of the La Concha bay await us from above. The view will amaze you!
As we descend, we’ll explore the charming Antiguo neighbourhood and pass through the Basque Public University campus before reaching the Morlans tunnel—one of the longest cycle-friendly tunnels in Europe. This will swiftly lead us to the Amara district, where we’ll make our way to the Anoeta neighbourhood to visit the Anoeta stadium. Here, we might even get the chance to try our hand at Basque pelota on the Atano III court, provided it’s open.
Finally, we'll follow the scenic route along the Urumea River, arriving at the lively Gros district where we can soak up the atmosphere at Zurriola Beach. After 3 hours of cycling, we’ll conclude our tour as we return to our starting point. Until next time!
