Santa Ana Volcano Hike

After picking you up from your selected meeting point in San Salvador, we'll begin our journey to a beautiful national park area of lakes and volcanoes. There, you'll encounter the magnificent Santa Ana Volcano, also known as Llamatepec, which rises up a staggering 7,812 feet above sea level.

Once we reach the foot of the volcano after an hour and a half, we'll begin our trek to what is the third highest point in El Salvador. Along the way, you'll also encounter some stunning panoramic viewpoints across the surrounding landscapes.

At the summit, you'll learn all about the fascinating geology, which dates back some two million years. From there, you'll admire the magnificent crater and the idyllic green lagoon which is found inside.

As you relax and take a well-deserved rest, we'll enjoy stunning views of the Coatepeque Lake, and the volcanoes of Izalco and Cerro Verde, with the Pacific Ocean in the background!

When the hike has finished, we'll return to the meeting point San Salvador.
