We'll pick you up from your hotel and start our tour of the main sights of the capital of El Salvador.
We'll tour the historic centre of San Salvador, where the growth of the city began in colonial times. We'll visit the Museo del Hipotecario and the Plaza de Gerardo Barrios, where the statue of the homonymous president is located. Around the square, we'll find important government buildings, such as the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral.
We'll also visit the Crypt of Monsignor Romero, located inside the Cathedral. We'll also see point zero of El Salvador, located in the historical center of San Salvador near Metropolitan Cathedral. Then we'll go to the National Theatre, one of the most important performing arts centres in the country. Then we'll head to Plaza de la Libertad and the spectacular church of El Rosario, it's structure really is quite something!
As a last stop on the tour, we'll visit the National Artisan Market where you'll be able to buy products handmade by the locals. it's the perfect place to buy a souvenir of your travels!
Finally, we'll return to the hotel after a 3.5-hour guided tour.
Pickup
Upon booking, you can choose between one of the following options. Please keep in mind that the schedules are as follows:
- Tour with pickup at your hotel in San Salvador: at 9 am or at 1:30 pm.
- Tour with pickup at your hotel in El Tunco: at 8:20 am.
Please note
- Most museums are closed on Mondays.
- During Holy Week and the feast of the patron saint of San Salvador (1-6 August), entry to churches is restricted.
