Cihuatán and Tesak Museum Tour
Itinerary
Ready for a cultural immersion? We'll pick you up from your hotel in San Salvador at the indicated time and head north to the Pablo Tesak Museum and Cultural Centre. This journey will last about 30 minutes.
We'll visit this exhibition which offers a journey across time with its numerous archaeological pieces. These allow us to learn about El Salvador's past, something we'll delve into even more at our next stop: Cihuatán.
Upon arriving at this archaeological site, we'll encounter a Maya pyramid that is over 3,000 years old. As we explore the ruins, we'll learn about this pre-Hispanic culture and why Cihuatán was suddenly abandoned. We'll see an old market, a games field, and ceremonial buildings among others. You'll love it!
Then, we'll return to the minibus and get back on the road. We'll drop you back off at your hotel 5.5 hours later.
Hotel pickup
This tour includes pickup from hotels in San Salvador. If you're staying in a private residence, please come to the Balam Quitzé Shopping Centre, where we'll pick you up.
