Somiedo Natural Park Snowshoe Hike
Somiedo Natural Park Snowshoe Hike
After meeting at the indicated time at the meeting point of your choice, we'll get ready to set off on a breathtaking snowshoe tour through Somiedo Natural Park.
We'll put on our snowshoes and, after a brief talk on how to use the equipment, we'll begin to explore the trails of this area of Asturias. The stunning bucolic landscapes are sure to leave you speechless!
Depending on the meeting point, we'll visit different passes, such as Piedraxueves, at an altitude of 5,020 feet (1,530 meters), or the Trobaniello trail. Don't worry, in both options, we'll be able to see the region's abundant wildlife as well as the peaks of Las Ubiñas and Somiedo.
At the end of the route, we'll take a break to admire the scenery and rest from the ascent. Later, we'll begin the descent with our snowshoes through extensive fields of snow and birch forests.
The route will finish at the starting point, after a four to five-hour hike.
