Villa Rica Tour
Villa Rica Tour
First, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Ramón at 8:30 am to set off for Villa Rica, the coffee capital of the Pasco region. Did you know that its speciality green coffee beans are protected as a designation of origin?
After a road trip of just over an hour, we'll cross the Paucatambo bridge, which marks the border between the regions of Junín and Pasco. Before arriving in Villa Rica, we'll make a stop at the waterfall the Lion, which we'll reach after a ten-minute walk. Once we get there, you can also take a refreshing swim!
Next, we'll enter the old town of Villa Rica and take a tour of its main square. The monument in the shape of a coffee pot in the centre of the square is a great place for a picture!
Then we'll visit a local coffee shop for a steaming cup of Villa Rica coffee. You'll have free time for lunch and take the opportunity to sample the local cuisine. Then in the afternoon, with our energies refuelled, we'll drive to the El Oconal lagoon.
We'll admire the beautiful scenery and the biodiversity of this water reserve. But the icing on top to the tour will be a relaxing fish pedicure also known as ichthyotherapy, which involves the use of fish such as Garra rufa for treating other skin conditions. The perfect ending to the day!
We'll end the excursion to Villa Rica by returning to San Ramon and leaving you at your hotel around 6:30 pm.
