Atacama Desert: Day Trip to Moon Valley
Tour Highlights
We'll gather at the designated time at a central point in San Pedro de Atacama, and our journey will take us westward.
In just a half-hour drive, we'll reach one of the most mesmerizing spots in the Atacama Desert – the famous Moon Valley! Upon arrival, we'll walk and drive through this unique destination, reveling in the breathtaking beauty of its landscapes.
During our visit to the Moon Valley, the Mirador de Kari, also known as the Coyote's Stone, will offer stunning panoramic views. Indeed, you'll feel like you've stepped into space since the landscapes here bear a striking resemblance to the moon.
En route, we'll encounter the geological formation known as Las Tres Marías. A stop before the iconic Duna Mayor, a colossal sand mound that dominates the vast arid expanse of Moon Valley, will give you the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photos of the Atacama Desert.
Following our exploration of the valley, we'll return to the meeting point in San Pedro de Atacama, concluding this 4 to 4.5-hour activity.
