Vieja Usina de Lules Hiking Tour
Hike Details
We'll meet at the designated time at the YPF Full Service Station in San Miguel de Tucumán, where we'll board a vehicle headed for Quebrada de Lules. Upon arrival, we'll gear up and get ready to begin this thrilling trekking route. Adventure awaits!
Our hike kicks off as we enter the wooded trails of the Sierra de San Javier. From the very first step, you'll be captivated by the dense vegetation that defines the Andean forest. We'll follow the path alongside the Lules River, surrounded by nature, until we reach the ruins of the Old Power Plant and its abandoned machinery.
Here, we'll explore the remnants of the hydroelectric plant. As we walk through the site, we'll share stories of its golden age and eventual decline. We'll see how nature has reclaimed the area, with moss and branches wrapping around the old structures. Our hike continues toward the Alta Cámara, where we'll access a fluvial tunnel using its staircase.
Finally, we'll arrive at the viewpoint of the Lules River, a serene spot to rest and enjoy a sandwich. After a relaxing break and a moment to soak in the surroundings, we'll begin the return hike.
Then, 5 hours later, we'll say our goodbyes at the YPF Full Service Station.
Pickup Service
During the booking process, you can select the tour without transport from San Miguel de Tucumán. In this case, we'll meet directly at the Quebrada de Lules traffic circle. We'll also say goodbye at this same point at the end of the hiking route.
