Coyote Canyon Horseback Riding Tour

Half Day Tour

At the agreed time, we'll meet in the centre of San Miguel de Allende. From here we'll go to the cattle ranch where we'll take a horseback ride. After about 45 minutes we'll arrive at the ranch.

Once we're at the cattle ranch, we'll receive a brief explanation to learn the basics of horseback riding. From there we'll begin the most awaited part of the excursion. We'll get on our horses to start a two-hour ride through the main canyon of the region, the Coyote Canyon.

The first part of our horseback ride will take us down the canyon until we reach the river and gallop at various points. We'll take a break before climbing up to the canyon. We'll skirt the surrounding steep terrain, from where we'll enjoy excellent views of the gorge.

We'll return to the ranch following a similar route to the one we took on the way up. At the ranch, we'll enjoy a full meal, perfect to recharge our batteries while tasting typical dishes such as quesadillas, nopales, rice or guacamole.

We'll return to San Miguel de Allende at approximately 2 pm.

Full Day tour

If you have more time in San Miguel de Allende, you can opt for a full-day horseback riding tour through the Cañada de la Virgen. We'll follow a similar route to the one described above, and you'll also have the opportunity to get to see the ranch, as well as the daily chores that are carried out.

You'll also be able to explore trails and places that cannot be reached on horseback or take a dip in the river.
